Needs to be less FPS-killing (waterfall at start, defense sabers need to be optimized or replaced, etc)

Lifts are too slow and the atpt needs to spawn a lot faster.

Great visuals though :)

Personally I love that they kill you, but I think a fade kill would be better than instakill. Might be way too easy to camp otherwise, .shrug.

The boxes in the corridor with the purple tube are debatable. On one hand, they provide cover for if a defense lando decides to jetpack over there. On the other, they also form some pretty tight spaces which promotes midget-spam. They're just too close together it seems.

So. Boxes are good, but need to be done a bit differently (more like hoth etc).

You guys found the shortcuts, right? The only corridor that doesn't have an outlet is the rotating one, but it should be difficult for defense to get there. I am planning on removing all jetpacks and reducing dark reborn boss hp while increasing the hp of clone snowtrooper. That might help. (Plus this is an excellent objective to go reborn boss on; they are way more agile than the others and can mt defenders camping at the controls).

yea I know about the shortcuts, it's just that I spawned and had Yo spamming my ass from behind crates and shit. He did say it took him a while to get over there as a non-scout, but still.

I'll spread the boxes around a bit. I still want to keep some cover though.

So far, what I'm working on:

- visual touch up (fix some brushwork and write a phong shader for the terrain)
- increase clone snowtrooper hp to 100
- place some defense spawns a bit closer at the last objective area
- increase walker hp
- decrease dark reborn boss hp to 80
- reduce the time it takes for the at-pt to spawn
- increase the elevator speed at the first droid spawn
- fix two trap areas (below the waterhouse elevator and behind the waterhouse)
- increase clone lando hp to 100 but remove jetpack
- replace droid jan e11 with bowcaster
- add location markers
- spread the crates out a bit more
- fix the ladders so they actually work (radiant keeps breaking them; it's annoying)
- I'm looking into providing an easier way for defense to get down off the cliffs at the first objective
- decrease shield generator hp by 50%
- disable respawn on the emplaced guns at the first objective

the reborn bosses on this map are just asking to be raped. no saber throw and no force powers. im not sure if you noticed, but if you play hoth and desert reborn boss classes and sealed away your saberthrow, and force powers they would be completely useless.

for anyone who knows, if you have played Monolith's AVP2 for the PC, that is a pretty good example. the aliens/xenomorphs in that game are close range combat fighters, melee specialists. the marines and predators have long range weapons, GUNS. the advantage of long range weapons over close range is obvious, whoever invented the bow and arrow must have raped the battlefield in their time. even though aliens are at an obvious disadvantage without long range weapons, they can still compete in online deathmatches, all because of one factor. speed, ability to travel distance fast, for melee specialists with no long range weapons, taking away speed is the same as crippling it, like shooting fish in a barrel. trying to justify the reborn boss as stealth players wont change it, a good example of stealth oriented reborn boss classes is Korriban landos, and even they get stomped in saber fights.

so to fix the reborn boss classes, so they are not completely useless, u got some choices:
-give reborn bosses saberthrow lvl 2 or 3, push & pull, and maybe heal and absorb protect (O)/grip and drain(D)... this at least accounts for reborn boss vs guns ...
or if that sounds no good to you:
- give both reborn boss classes base speed of 1.5, heal lvl 3, high force regen rate, and force speed lvl 2(O) and rage lvl 2(D) this accounts for the insane SIZE of the map.
----------
also there is the last obj. its near impossible to defend unless you megastack strong landos on defense. imagine korriban red room. and the obj is not to steal the crystal but to destroy it. and to top it off, NOW you have guns. so you have to defend something in 360 angle, and it takes a crapload of time to travel around the room, because the object to defend is right in the middle of the room.

------------
the visuals look good enough, gameplay needs help.
just being honest.

Give pull 1 if you make saber throw 2 or 3. Make people learn to throw if they wanna play reborn boss :)
