I'm working on jailbreaking my ipod to run DOSBox. I guess there was an app for it, but it got taken off the app store because Apple didn't want their products running Windows .exe files

iPhones yews ARM processors, they can't run .exe files natively. (Only x86 and x64 can currently)
If there is a legit dosbox for iPhone, they had to do crazy software emulation (kind of like any other video game emulator you have used, and how it requires hardware way beyond the power of the actual original hardware to run, because the hardware functions are emulated in software).
And there's probably a crapton of security holes even once you do get it working on the iphone

Get an android noobs....
Steve Jobs was cool, but come on...
Just looked on the market and there are two apps...one is free and one is 1.99.

p.s. - The only game I've had trouble running in 7/64 is LA Noire and that game kinda sucked anyway. (But it was mostly due to the fact that I only had 2GB of shitty RAM.)

The app is still available if you jailbreak your iphone/ipod, which is what I'm going to do. I had my iPod jailbroken previously, but lost all my stuff when I updated to iOS5.
I played LA Noire on PS3 and loved it. I don't think it'd be as good with Mouse+Keyboard, quite honestly. I liked it because it seemed like sort of a cool throwback to old adventure games. I guess I could see where some people might think all the investigation and interrogation might get repetitive though.

Besides the fact that iDOS contained a full working version of DOS and read-only access to some of iOS' system files, the app was destined to be pulled given the fact that it could launch executable code--a no-no, and one of the top listed banned items in Apple's App Store Guidelines document.
