I am certain that 90% of active siegers have never even played a pug on maps other than Hoth/Nar/Silly
Desert and Korri pugs are actually a lot of fun. The people who don't like pugs on those maps don't know how to play them properly (or possibly they have trouble with siege overall ).

We desert pugged not that long ago, but it is extremely rare indeed. And we did h3h 5v5 not but a week ago. Also rare.
Tbh, I think most of jerk's maps are underrated. Especially tie test and JHOTH. random1b was fun too.

Jhoth is a personal favorite. As is H3H IF there are enough players.

JHoth fixes a few flaws with Cargo too. It adds turrets near the D Spawn on the last objective, to try to counteract the ridiculous stack they get on normal cargo. Also, the 2nd objective when you have to climb the catwalks is altered a bit to make it a little easier to capture, but also takes out wookie trick making it an all around better objective. When you really get down to it, while Cargo is fun in it's own right, jhoth > cargo.

Re: ATTN: Active Siegers
Honestly I think J3rk's maps are quite good.
I don't consider Nar Shadaa much better than most of J3rk's maps. In my opinion Duo did the right thing to get it off the ground though. At the time of Nar Shadaa's release, Duo was the unofficial pugmaser and started a bunch of pugs on it and got people used to the map and playing it regularly.
If people played J3rk's maps more, I think they would realize that they are equally well designed. Whoever is starting the pugs these days ought to learn from Duo and better choose what maps to start the pug on
