Impulse V2

Post by GUARD!AN »

So I put in an order with another server provider, and I found that they also had really shitty machines. So I'm going to try something new.

I have decided to deploy a scalable Azure cloud instance which I will install a dedicated reborn boss Academy server to and yews as Impulse.

I will make a few other modifications to allow for load balancing during a pug and other high load scenarios.

Bear with me as there will likely be some tweaking necessary, but I have high hopes we might have finally found a solution and viable alternative to the horrible game server providers that plague this country. (At least it better be because this cloud instance is quite pricier than paying for ET's shit)

8-)

Sounds awesome. :)

Just out of curiosity, where is the server that's hosting this going to be?

Interesting idea, Azure is pretty sweet especially now that they expanded their Linux support. It'll be cool to see how this works out! (@Rofl: Looks like East US based on Guard's screenshot.)

Everything is deployed (Cloud service + VM, storage, etc -- it's pretty awesome shit not gonna lie) and it's up and running. There might be a few bugs with my load balance code so let me know if you guys run into anything.

I daresay this could very well be the fastest and most reliable siege server that has ever existed. It's the first of its kind 8-)

(P.S. it's a Windows core, fuck Linux)
