3.) People are so stupid at picking "good" maps they still want to play cargo instead of jhoth 99% of the time.
4.) People don't learn the new maps unless we play them. The days of taking people in a locked server and teaching them maps are over. The only people who do that anymore are map makers. No one is going to teach Ramshi Bank or Theed unless we show up there to play it.
6.) We always took forever to pick maps.
7.) We always took forever to start pugs.
9.) According to gametrack, over the LAST WEEK 47% of all maps played are either Hoth or Nar Shaddaa (27% hoth) that leaves 53% split up between Cargo, Silly, h3h, desert, korriban, byss, bank, and three zombie maps.
(for the record, silly = 8% so stop saying omg we play it so much all the time wtf!!
3) Completely agree. Just like most democracies, imperfect information = imperfect cost/benefit decision making. Most of what we do in siege, we do not because it is the "best option" but because someone before us (or some game mechanic) makes it seem like the most logical one. I think its stretching things, but blackout gave a good example of this, we play hoth because it is the map that appears by default.
4) Well since 50% of the community are map makers that should be happening a lot (sorry, that was a bit factitious of me). In all honesty though, I think it is completely reasonable for us to only play maps everyone has played through at least once, when we have 3's and above at least.
6) Granted, I stretched this to fit my "heirarchy" narrative.
7) You really think we start pugs as fast as we used too? Like I already said, any sort of decision making is now slowed down by the fact that we have no siege heirarchy, no one wants to be the one making the final call. Its not like we are so slow that it meaningfully effects things, but its fun to complain.
9) Obviously we don't play any map as much as hoth, thats pretty clear to anyone. But I think we play customs a lot more than we used too. Not saying there is anything wrong with this.
