The point isn't how frequently they are used the point is that the map is already balanced and you are trying to tip the scales for no reason.

Dude trying to drop my name for legitimacy.

Anyway, balanced class setups are not necessarily superior to imbalanced ones. Imbalanced just means that some classes are focal points of the gameplay. For example, you could argue that Hoth D jan is OP because of the shield. But that doesn't make it bad design, it just means the gameplay revolves around it -- an intentional design choice by the dev.

All of the following classes are arguably imbalanced when compared to other class choices on their team:

Comparatively strong:
Desert O reborn boss
Desert D reborn boss
Korri O jan
Korri D demo

Comparatively weak:
Hoth O snowtrooper
Hoth O chewie
Desert O chewie
Desert D chewie
Korri O lando
Korri D lando
Korri D jan
Korri O reborn boss
Korri D reborn boss (dollar will argue with me on this one...)

Whether these classes are good/bad design by the devs is simply a matter of opinion.

All I said was that I would be interested in trying out Grab's changes. When Grab asked me for advice on his changes, I recommended the Nar-like setup as a starting point, because his goal was to make all 6 classes generally viable choices, and Nar's classes are the result of lots and lots of testing with the same goal in mind.

I also said, "if it sucks balls we should get rid of it."

Grab, stop taking this so personally. People don't want you messing with base maps. You seem to be the only person who likes the changes. It's also not fair on people who have made custom maps using hoth classes to have your changes forced upon them. If you want to make your own classes, why don't you make your own map?

Exactly. There used to be that "enhanced hoth" map years ago. Feel free to make your own version like that. I'd be glad to play it.

Think of it like jerk making jhoth. He sought to improve cargo seperately, not alter the original.

Yes grab, I'd completely support you in making a separate map, even if it was just hoth with different classes.

Like I said, I'm all for trying them out. People got annoyed bc they got golaned in one pug, and immediately called for their removal. Grab does need to change it so it doesn't affect custom maps that yews Hoth classes, though.

Couldn't be further from the truth tbh. We play far more customs now than we ever did, and no one is satisfied with cargo barge. You should reinstall!
