Word Filter?

I noticed Laser mentioned he can't view some parts of this forum cause of certain words being blocked by his ISP. Is anyone else in the same boat? Or even if you aren't in the same boat, should I install a word filter? I know people are just going to around it, but it would at least have them indirectly going around the ISP filters.

I could also add random ones like Heroic did (eg yews became yews)

What kind of commie country you live in, Laser?

As far as I am aware it is just his college (which is a lower tier ISP, but still an ISP). I concur with Archi though, not sure why your college nazi admins you Laser, lol.

that was simultaneously funny and frustrating.

It's never been an issue before, and he kind of brought it upon himself by dropping the C word unnecesarily. I don't care either way.

I always thought BFA's "fuck" -> "wookie" was funny.

I basically said that in the shoutbox in jest, the Sefton Council filter (what we're on) picks up lots of stupid things, for example I sometimes can't view posts because 'they have been categorised as gaming'.

Unless someone feels offended by mine or other peoples' yews of language, then I don't think we should have a word filter.

My college is run on the same filters as the local high schools, which explains why sometimes it goes as far as not letting me yews google images :/

For example, I couldn't view the 2nd page of 'who to pick in pugs', because it is apparently offensive and tasteless. Now I'm looking at it and no one has even swore, in fact it's just about the friendliest topic I've seen this year.

ROFL.

Sometimes adding an "S" after the "http" bypasses school filters. At least it does at my school.
For instance, I can check facebook by going to https://www.facebook.com instead of http://facebook.com.
