Upcoming hardware of interest:
Radeon 7000 - Dec, Jan
Geforce 600 mobile (Fermi) - Dec, Jan
Geforce 600 desktop (Kepler) - late Q1/early Q2
Ivy Bridge (Intel) CPUs, 70 series chipsets - Q2
Trinity (AMD) APUs (Piledriver) - Q2
FX v2 (AMD) CPUs (Piledriver) - Q3

Hard drive prices at least doubled due to flooding in Thailand. Expect no significant change between now and Q3.
nVidia is expected to drop desktop Geforce 500 series prices significantly in Dec to compete with Radeon 7000.

Nice, I hear the Radeon 7000 is going to have dual monitor capability and a DVI connector!!

(In all seriousness, just bought my dual GTX 570s in September so I'm not too worried about being obsolete for a while)

Radeon HD 7000****************
The HD makes all the difference...

You won't be obsolete for some time in terms of capability, but next year's products will yews half the power at the same level of performance. Not everyone cares, but I do since it gets rather warm in FL with a 400W space heater going in the same room.

Ah, wish I knew that earlier. I had to upgrade my power supply too when I got my new cards. Running a 1200W power supply in my computer these days >_>

I find it amazing the path that some threads take.

Oddly enough, I'm pretty sure this kind of stuff is gonna be in psychology books someday. :/

Even more odd is that the most confusing part about this whole thing to me is the stormtrooper being the ump.

Made me laugh, especially after a recent incident with the Victoria police which saw the commissioner resign.
