Is this not ridiculous?

Why are we penalizing people for doing something that is:

A) Cheaper than driving
B) Safer than driving
C) Healthier than driving
D) Easier to create infrastructure for
E) Combating climate change

Build a bike lane.

I get hassled for rollerblading.(I blame shithead punk skateboarders for this...not all...just the shitheads who think that any public property is theirs and argue with the actual owners that they can skate anywhere they want.)

But, here in my neighborhood, they have streets designated for bike trails and you are supposed to give them 3FT of space...but they ride right in the middle of the road so that you can't legally pass them.

The world is indeed a fucked up place, my friends.

Street was insane with traffic (was in NYC). So I was on the sidewalk. End of the month (so the quota had to be met. They saw me with my long hair, facial hair, sleeveless shirt, and tattoo, and they figured I was a no-do-gooder and had a history, so they pulled me over. I acted real calm with them, so they used that as 'sufficeint doubt' (or someshit) that I was on drugs/yews drugs/too used to being arrested. They let me go with a court summons when they found out I did, indeed, have no history whatsoever.

I've rode a bike in the road in NYC and its not a fun experience at all.

I can understand why they stopped you, but a court summons wow.

I refer to bike lanes as "open your door" lanes.

When I went to NYC years ago I saw lots of people walking and riding those collapsible bikes on the sidewalk. I don't understand why you would get arrested tbh. I do it when im too lazy to go get gas for my car etc etc..

Because it is illegal to ride your bike on the sidewalk! How hard is that to comprehend. Might as well be saying "I dunno why I got arrested for breaking into my neighbors house."
