I just upgraded to the final build (RTM version, basically the final thing they will release in a month) the other day, does anyone else yews it? What are your thoughts? So far, I don't really see much added functionality over XP, it just looks prettier. It is more stable than vista at least...

Weird how people go on as if window 7 is brand new completely different OS when its just vista but patched properly =/, you won't be able to compare it much now guard because you havn't got the full intence of it yet once you get the final one then you'll see the changes although i would of thought it'd be basically as good as XP just with a few better looking shit. Oh and 1 thing i hate about it totally is that almost everything on XP and vista/7 are different as in the setup >; they said it was to make things easier but its a pain in the fucking ass, i doubt their gonna make anything better than XP anytime soon tbh.

Well thats my basic thought didn't read through it so if its spelt wrong (fk off trk) idc >:

Yep its prettier but I hate those UAC questions every time i want to run one or another program. I know i can disable them but then my pc will be less protected :/ But the biggest minus for me is that many programs/drivers dont support win 7 (yet)

Unless you plan on going to stupid websites that will rape your computer, you can pretty safely turn that shit off.

Thats probably why nothing goes wrong  its nothing to bad thats bad about it, its just theirs always a fucking error with something when you try like a new game or program etc, i got given a pc for work a few months back but i gave them it back cause it was vista and no matter how much i tried to code on it something always fucked up first, now i got my normal windows xp boosted up for coding so its all good.

It's good, just not as good as others.

Yeah, I mean I've never tried anything particularly complicated on it, and no games either. But it isn't bad for your average joe (like my parents) who don't know how to do anything except for check their email and read yahoo articles.

Windows 95 would also be perfectly capable of checking your email and reading Yahoo articles :(

And no, you can't. A virus can't infect your computer if you don't download it.
