Game over.

So, I'm just posting out of courtesy to tell you I'm pretty much done with video games, for a good long while it would seem. I just don't have the time anymore, with all the stuff I have going on. I mean, you'll probably see me once in a blue moon on the weekends, but this is the first time I've checked for forum in like two weeks.
I'm guessing once soccer winds down, and there's that month where I get to kick back and relax before Nordic Skiing starts I'll be active. That will be around mid November.
Oh, it should be known too that I usually just nonchalant soccer, and it's no big deal. But this year we're 7-0-0, leading our division and have a legitimate run at the state championship. Couple that with a few AP classes, the ever persistent relationship thing, and you've pretty much got a recipe for me not playing JKA anytime soon.

For anyone that's interested in High school soccer, feel free to keep tabs on our team: http://www.schtools.net/membersnew/public/index.cfm?fuseaction=hpstdg&Org=MPA&CFID=20429328&CFTOKEN=72638223 Class C - West, Dirigo Cougars.

Up until this season, I've always played left wing. (I'm left footed, so my cross to the middle has always been a plus for our team.)
I've been playing stopper this year though, and I have to say burning strikers when you're playing defense is so much more fun than burning defenders when playing offense haha.

The reason I've been playing Stopper and not Winger is because we've been running a 4-4-2 this year instead of our usual 4-3-3.

The word stopper is unfamiliar to me, but I assume it means centre back or centre half?

I usually play striker but I also play attacking centre mid and defence, love scoring goals and when I'm on form I can beat most keepers and take most of my chances. Unfortuneately im not always 'on form' :P I'd say my best attributes are my pace and determination.

Sounds like you're an important play Mr. Magyk!

We don't play a flat four defense, we have a defense set up essentially in a "+" shape, with two outer defenders, a mid-upper "Sweeper" who roves our entire half of the field, and me, the stopper who hangs a little farther back than the two wing defenders and is pretty much the last line of defense between the keeper and ball.

It's a little unorthodox, but it has a ton of advantages and really the only disadvantage is that we don't get many off-sides calls because I hang farther back than the rest of the defense.

I don't think I've ever seen that system played, but it sounds useful.

Shame you can't set up an offside trap, because you'd be exposing the space behind you if you pressed for offside.
