World Cup - South Africa 2010
Re: World Cup - South Africa 2010
Yes, Argentina should have put Messi at the tip of their spear. Argentina's coach is horrible. Their defense is not that good, but give Heinze credit for giving it all he had, he saved 2 goals all by himself. Physical and emotional defender. But Messi is better up front, not at midfield, when he has Xavi and Ineasta winning balls for him and punching them up to him, he can do amazing things, but people were expecting too much out of him, he is amazing, but he can't dribble through 5 guys, he's done it on occasions, but thats not every day stuff. Now with Barcelona buying David Villa to go along with Messi, I see Barcelona winning and winning and winning. Plus, Puyol is my homie. Best Defensive back in my book.

Re: World Cup - South Africa 2010
Puyol is nowhere near the best defender, he's good, but not very good.

Argentina under Maradona were always either gonna win the whole thing or fail miserably. His team selections have been absolutely horrid, playing four centrebacks, one midfielder, and five forwards (also, Jonas fucking Gutierrez in the group stage ). The FA needs him to gtfo asap, would be a shame to see a talent like Messi not being able to reach his full potential on the international stage because of inept coaching. This team would have donned it:
Tevez - D. Milito - Messi
Pastore
Cambiasso - Mascherano
C. Rodriguez - Samuel - G. Milito - Zanetti
Romero
Take note Maradona, a balanced formation and proper fullbacks. Also, your best fucking midfielder who you excluded from the squad for whatever reason. Fun fact: Maradona included Ariel Garce in his squad, a little known defender playing in the Argentinian league, for the sole reason that he had a dream where they had won the World Cup and Garce was the only player he could remember.

Re: World Cup - South Africa 2010
germany vs spain is gonna be great match. Both teams respect each other a lot ( Casillas said germany is favorite to win the cup and Schweinsteiger said that spain is the best team in the world). Müller isnt replacable and we're probably gonna yews Trochowski who is possibly one of the worst players on the german team, next to Kießling and Gomez of course. I watched both games in public and the flood of penaltys were extremely humorous The anti racism speeches at the begining of the matches are getting annoying though.

Would you rather Oscar Cardozo was allowed to retake his penalty too, for clear encroachment by Spanish players? Spain would be 1-0 down and not had their penalty. The ref wasn't great, but at least he didn't disallow a goalÝô wrote:and referee is shittie, gg
