European Siege Public

Post by Laser »

After the short, but relatively high success of the European public server a couple of years ago (short because the guy running it didn't have a clue and wouldn't take advice), I've taken it upon myself to open a new server called European Siege Public.

The server is running base_entranced, so hopefully no bugs. I would appreciate it so much if you guys could join in and have a go at public siege, it could be really fun!

The server is based in Paris, France. Any feedback is welcome and I encourage it.

People are welcome to pug on it if you need an alternative, but only if people aren't already there playing pub siege. To change the settings, simply do /rcon exec pug.cfg. At the end, please change it back, I don't want the server locked when no one is playing on it, yews /rcon exec server.cfg. The server may appear to crash for about 3 minutes, I don't know why, but it's normal.

Any problems, please email eurosiege@gmail.com (do not pm my jkasiege account).

I know right! It was cheap though so I can't argue.

Don't count me as an admin. I have cpanel to all three siege servers, but only for modding/bugfixing/server maintenance purposes. I have no interest in using rcon.

Did you ever set up an automatic nightly restart for this server? It helps prevent crashes.

No, I actually haven't. Is that something that the server provider would provide (if so, I don't think markmods have the facility), or something I can do myself?

Ask Markmods. They should be able to set it up for you. Fragnet does it upon request. Just specify a time when nobody is on (middle of the night or something)

I can't access it anymore, for some reason the European public server isn't there anymore on the server list, it's like it doesn't exist. All the other servers still show up, and I know I haven't been banned or kicked or anything because I haven't done anything wrong like laming and such. So does anyone know what's going on ?
