I'm still thinking about it.
There is also the point that, if you don't want to melee people, then don't. Flipkick is a little different, because it dramatically alters the gameplay if you are fighting and suddenly get flip kicked. Melee isn't, you can just kill them faster and keep going about your business. I don't get why you guys are so adamant about forcing your own views onto the noobs.
Right now my stance is, tempest isn't a place to force people to become better at siege, it is a place to revive siege. We want people to come and have fun playing the game, not have "You can't have those settings because you should be getting better, stop being a noob and go play FFA if you don't like it."
I really think activity should be a higher priority than promoting skill.
It is not our place to decide on these matters for pub servers, I would rather have Afroman/Yo/Me/Wufie ask a couple of times in the server to the noobs what they want.
But, just like with any request/suggestion on server settings, I will give it a chance to see if it gets positive reviews, and take melee off for a day or two so we are all open-minded about it.
