I skipped most of this thread.

I've known Anub for probably a bit over a year now. We talk off and on about various things. He helped me a lot with my modding ventures, but we talk about all sorts of things.

During my latest bout of inactivity from siege, I'd occasionally hear from him about some sort of drama between him and guard. It sort of made me snicker, because I'd always known both him and Guard as two people who'd never be mad at anybody. I guess I figured they'd gotten in a spat over who was most personable - in a tossup between themselves, jerk, and milkman (who would win no doubt, that dude was MAD chill).

Anyway, it turns out that the whole dispute was rather serious business. I think you're both blowing shit up way too far, and granted I don't know who did what or which toes were stepped on, I think you both just oughta get some air.

Anyway, that's my 2 cents. Whatever on the ban, I don't think he'd care too much, and if he did he'd certainly be able to bypass it. If you thought me and Duo were tricky, you have no idea - Anub really knows his shit.

No shit....I was sworn to secrecy about the shit he showed me...

Even though I simply witnessed some crazy shit and have no idea how he did it.

Nub was a pretty chill guy. But I also found the extremity of leaving he took to be a bit...funny.

Long story short:

Nub had his own vision for siege and this website, which was different than mine. When I didn't let him have his way, he ragequit.

Long story less short:

After spending a lot of his free time adding to the website and servers, he felt he was entitled to a certain degree of respect. One day Laser started a vote thread on the forums to "ban anub" and made him rage, putting Laser on mod queue and completely blocking him from making posts or contributions to the website indefinitely. He then proposed a new moderation/admin template of punishing people who fucked with him (fucking with him entailed disrespecting him on the forums, and even votekicking him on Impulse if he decided to sit aliased in spec). Before he proposed it, he hinted that if he is not satisfied with my decision on the matter, all of his contributions he will be removing from the website. After I decided against his proposal, he threatened to sue me if I did not remove his shit from this website and the servers entirely.

Everything he ever contributed to the website and servers was easily replaceable and has for the most part been replaced since, so no biggie.
