Why does reborn boss still have pistol on Tempest?

It's not fun. Sick of reborn boss pistoling me from across the map, reborn boss aren't supposed to have ranged weapons really... it ruins the dynamic of the game. If you're going to give a jedi-class a pistol, give it to korr landos

I agree w/Trk here. I really do believe that it upsets the dynamics of the game in general (at least the base maps), as do (IMO) stun batons.

I dunno which way to go on this. Yeah, reborn boss were designed to be close to mid-close range fighters, and they are damn good at it. On the other hand, reborn boss pistols give the reborn boss a bit more flexability (like I can actually yews a pistol...)and naturally cause different tactics.

i personally think this is blown up bigger than it really is. how often do reborn bosses get a kill with pistol? not very often. the rifle has near instant effect when you click. the pistol travels like..... slightly faster than the rocket? the rocket is the slowest projectile in the game. which is why rockets only hit long range targets if its not moving like walls/afk/retarded or homed. Heh, even in capt pistol duels u see the action mostly happening in close range because that's the only range where the shot can't be seen and dodged easily. with a rifle when you click the shot hits watever your crosshair is on.

i have only seen pistols become useful weapons on Des. taking out campers or making desperate droid part saves for Def. sometimes u see a desperate hoth codes save by Def, but that also rare, as rare as getting wookie bolt kills and airs. if it happens u can get a laugh and take some tension off your day, why make a fuss about it? if i get hit with a pistol in pub i almost always chuckle.
