Would you guys want to see shields and/or mines in a new map? I personally like that cargo has no shields or mines. You don't have to worry about "oh shit this demo's probably going to spam me" or "oh shit the jan has a new shield" and you can just focus on the objectives or killing people.
But on the other hand, Hoth is the most popular map in NA and has both -- is it the map people love or the shields and mines?

As much as spam sucks, the two indisputable best siege maps (and most often played) are the most prominent in spam, because all in all, mines are fun, and so are shields.

new maps don't need mines. cargo has no mines, and does fine without them.

Shield: yes, but only if the map design doesn't allow a shield to completely block an objective (i.e. two or more paths to an objective)
