We kill and torture thousands all over the world all the time, but nobody gives a shit because they look different from us, speak a different language, live in a different country, and pray to a different invisible man from the one we pray to.
Somebody does it back to us and we all shit our pants and cry about it.
Ever heard of Vietnam? Iraq? Afghanistan? Palestine? My Lai? Guantanamo? Abu Gharib? Or of our secret military prisons all over the world where people get no trial, no lawyer, and just disappear?
9/11 sucked, and I know people that have been directly affected by it. But what we do to others on a regular basis is far more tragic than what happened to us once.
