Just curious what this is based on. Like, just your own personal beliefs? I find it hard to believe I'm behind Xeon and Grab. Laser should be higher. Sith and Blackout should be lower. I will take Laser over Sith and Blackout seven days a week. Blackout, Yo, and I should all be about in line with each other, and Sith is only a little ahead of that group imho. I would hardly consider Tomadox active, and I haven't seen Supra play in god knows how long. I don't know a lot of the CTF guys (who is Firedragon?) but I do know that I have worked Alpha over several times so I find it hard to believe that he's better than me. Also, I think Onasi is an overrated player. Everyone seems to be sucking this guys dick lately, and while he is excellent at fragging dudes he shows almost no technique when it comes to actually putting siege strategies to work.

Also laughable to automatically grant Euro players 4-5 ratings on Desert and Korriban just because they are Euros, and give all the NA players 2-3 seemingly just because they are NA. I can assure you that I'm more than a 2 at DesKor, as I'm one of the last few people who used to regularly pug those maps before we entered the Age of Hoth. Duo is more than a 3 on DesKor. Tomadox probably is a 1 on both DesKor. Again, it seems like the rankings on these maps was based entirely on Euro vs. NA.

tl;dr list is sorta bad, but that's just my opinion.

Yes, it's my own personal beliefs. I know i probably made few mistakes, maybe even big ones but i rly wanted to do list like this. To be honest, players who refuse to play desert or korriban should get 0 pts, but noone got lower than 2. It is mostly based on games in last 2 months, some players played just few games so its obvious i could rate them incorrectly. The only thing i care here is gaming skill, not who i like or not.
Im not an antagonist of NA players, 1st and 2nd place got NA dudes and im sure they deserve it. We played korriban maybe few times, its hard to rate players there well, thats why 5 pts is max. Hoth and Nar got 15 pts, because they are played more often. And that's also just my opinion. But im playing more pugs than you these days.

Feel free to comment and post ur ranks.

Lol. Idk how you can judge someone's skill on a 1-15 scale...

The original caliber system(made by me and Jawa) was just meant to make picking teams easier by putting players on approximate tier levels. We didn't think about it too carefully, and there certainly wasn't any kind of formula with tabulating points or anything.

Some people took it personally and criticized it, made their own system, turned into a big joke, etc, but it was really just to help make picking teams easier with a rough approximation of people's abilities.

c5 = best players (me/jawa/jkb)
c4 = rusty veterans/former caliber 5s (guard/kera)
c3 = good players (randir/vail)
c2 = average players (80% of people fell into this category)
c1 = noobs (lick players, etc.)

Also kind of funny you didn't put yourself, lol. And by the way, you've never seen me play korri or desert, so how could you rate me there? (I have played those maps a lot btw)

@ duo, i saw u on korri in 2009-2010 more than once, and u was better than 3 pts, but u don't play there now, so u deserve even 0. I didn't want to put myself here just to avoid more bitching. I repeat, that's just my opinion based on my own observations.

Its not easy to put ranks like these, there are many maps, ppl got diff skills, there are 6 classes.
I did this 4 fun, but also i tried to rate ppl as fair as possible, u want more pts at korri? play it and show me im wrong. Picking in pugs also matters.

Dude is first and still complains lol.

Onasi is a solid player in fairness, but magyk should be higher as should mike (probably just below xeon). If you are going to include supra, who has pugged once in the last 3 months then he needs to be rated higher. Alpha is way too high aswell by about 5-6 rankings; Blade is just a mine spammer and has no skill.

Obviously there are going to be errors as it's just based on what lord's opinion but I don't get don and tiu being 4-5 don played once and was terrible, Tiu has played a few times and is an excellent lando but was mediocre at any other class. If your going to rate active siegers only then base them on current skill rather than some perceived talent from a 6 year old reputation.

It's almost impossible to rank people effectively though since skill sets often lie with different classes for example I'd say my best classes are jan, chewie, lando whereas my brothers best classes are probably demo/snowtrooper. (Based purely on hoth btw).

Oh and if I was to rank Lord since he's missing from the list then I'd say on par with Yo.

@ Magyk, maybe i didn't played with him too much to rate him 100% correct, but i can't know everyone well
@ Don, Tiu, i would put them higher if not their current skill, they still got mad skills at des/korri even if they are rusty and Don played more than one pug
@ blade, me and sith got raped on desert vs blade and yo this week, so blade cant be bad even if he spam (which is bad ofc)
@ supra, he played 2 or 3 pugs

There's no chance to make perfect ranks, dont take it too serious, i could see some ppl at they good/bad day, and i put some ppl there after 2 or 3 pugs i saw them. Also i changed this list few times before relase.

Supra is less active than Guard, Kane, Jkb, Turkey... Hell, I'd even say Archi is equally as active and I haven't seen him since June. All of them are absent from this list.

Top 20-ish dudes I have played with this summer. No particular order within the calibers. I believe a lot of guys are too evenly matched especially within c3 and c2 to differentiate.

c5 - If they are there, these dudes are your first picks. Experts at siege's little things.
Duo
Jkb
Jaw4
Wufie
Guard

c4 - Solid second picks. Would go first in a lower caliber pug. Don't require any direction. They know what they're doing.
Ceasar
Turkey
Laser
Sith

c3 - Safe middle picks that may not carry the team but won't fuck you up. May have to direct them a little, but they should know what they're doing for the most part.
Magyk
Yo
Lord
Blackout
Don

c2- Finishing touch on your team. Usually a specialist that you pigeonhole into one class (ie: jan). Requires some more direction/reminders on what class to yews when, mine placement, when to sk, etc.
Onasi
Alpha
Mike
Durza
Xeon
Grab

c1- No one that still plays pugs is this bad. Except maybe Elev. These are pubnub level players, like MR.KILL or ELITE Ranger.

I think the way Lord made those ranks is pretty wise, its based in his opinion, yes, but hes one of the most active players now and his eyes can judge better than some of the semi-active dudes like Mag

Duo is talking about some almighty players inactive for half decade, where are them? why would them play unrust if they just /connect now, would a game with them all in a team be even? dont think so

Besides that old caliber wasnt supposed to be right as u said u didnt think too much when u made it, and also it was based on hoth only cuz @ that time hoth was the 24/7 pug, this one gives each map the correct importance as number of times played
I agree with 90 percent of the chart but as Lord said its just for fun, not to take it too serious

Just curious what I have to do to be considered "active" since I play 5 out of 7 days a week.
