IMO Altavista and google were the best search engines, the rest all suck eggs.

A search engine that would search your favorite pages would be god-like.
Like, you list whatever pages you <3 in your preferences - and those pages will come up as the first results whenever you search for something.

So my pages might be like, jkasiege.com, facebook.com, youtube.com and I search for "Pie" my first 3 results would come up with whatever was related to pie found on my favorite sites.

I think its a cool idea anyways.

I used to have my own custom start page with all of my most visited pages as graphic links....

It's not hard to do with minimal HTML knowledge and with google's flexibility with search parameters, you could make a custom home page that would do that pretty easily.

If anyone would like help doing this or would like me to take a stab at it, I'll do my best.
