TOP FIVE CARTOONS THAT IMPACTED YOUR CHILDHOOD.

TOP FIVE CARTOONS THAT IMPACTED YOUR CHILDHOOD.

5. Warner Bros. Cartoons (Bugs Bunny Show...whatever.)

4. G.I. Joe

3. Voltron

2. Transformers

1. Thundercats

This was really a close call for me....Warner Bros. got 5 simply cause they were just silly....but still genious.

The top four were really tough, but I also scaled based on creativity and how much I actually enjoy them now.

I would suggest any sci-fi fan try to watch some thundercats if possible....I think there is only one box set with all the episodes in one. (If you can't somehow at least preview some on the intranetwebs.)

The whole show is basically about the Sword of Omens, which contains the Eye of Thundera.

If you think having a lightsaber would be cool.....you ain't seen nothin' yet:

Honorable Mention:

Simpsons/Futurama -- This came out right about/after the time most of society thinks you should stop watching cartoons for me.

Turbo Teen -- Somewhat 'played' concept about a 'secret government experiment' but cool, nonetheless.

The series is about a teenager named Brett Matthews, who swerves off a road during a thunderstorm and crashes into a secret government laboratory. There, he and his red sports car are accidentally exposed to a molecular beam invented by a scientist named Dr. Chase. Man and machine become fused together and as a result, Brett gains the ability to morph into the car when exposed to extreme heat and revert back into his human form when exposed to extreme cold. With this new super hero power, Brett and his friends, who call him "TT", go on crime fighting adventures together and solve other mysteries.

If you watch 'Robot Chicken' much, you've seen the parody of the guy turning into a red car and getting carjacked/vandalized/used as a toilet, I'm sure.

Pink Panther/Ant & The Aardvark/The Inspector/etc

Tom & Jerry

I really loved these cartoons as a boy and now that I look back on them....it's amazing they could be so good with hardly any voice-acting whatsoever.

I'm sure there's more....like 'Inspector Gadget,' that were great, but it's been sooooo long. :)

There's been speculation that a live-action movie is in the works, but I think I read it might have been shelved.....just like Full Throttle 2 :/

5. Simpsons
4. Xmen
3. Spiderman
2. Dragon Ball Z
1. Doraemon

there are others like Hey Arnold, Angry Beavers, Captain Planet (because in the East, choice of cartoons was VERY limited). and if there was no Xmen or Spiderman i would have no choice but to watch Sailor Moon on weekday mornings. all in all if u did not have cable tv u were limited in choice of cartoons to watch.

1.) Doug (Oh, how often I reference this show.)
2.) Hey Arnold
3.) The Rugrats (Pre-spinoffs)
4.) Pokemon Bitches!
5.) Spiderman

Honorable Mention: X-Men/The *Original* Sonic The Hedgehog Cartoon. (Before the Sonic series went down the tubes, he got 4 feet taller and everyone in the world of sonic suddenly had a voice like Justin Beiber.)

Would be #1, but it's not a cartoon: THE MOTHERFUCKIN MIGHTY MORPHIN ASS KICKIN CRACK DEALIN POWER RANGERS!
If you didn't like the 90's, Michael Jordan and the entire cast of Full House say fuck you.

Seriously, this show taught me how to stereotype!
