Its most likely unrealistic to think otherwise but the fact is BO shouldn't be considered a good president simply due to a comparison with McCain and Palin. Frankly i see him simply as another Dubya only with more verbal eloquence.

I never said he was good, I just think that he catches a lot more flak than he deserves.

By the way; W. got us into two wars and failed to catch Osama in 8 years. Obama got us out of one war, kept us out of another, and killed Osama in three. I guess that makes him exactly the same, and the only difference is how eloquent and articulate (AND DON'T FORGET BLACK!!!) he is.

Also, Magyk, you might want to check this out.

“today I’m pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy. It will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we’ve long neglected. But I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay — and that means taking responsibility right now, in this administration, for getting our spending under control.”

Lol.

I'm of the thinking that being a presidents involves more than wars and terrorists. I could be wrong though so please check up on this fact for me.

Please add parts of QE1, all of QE2 and QE2.5(operation twist) to the figures. When QE3 comes out, add that in too.

Strange how in the Bush era the national debt rose from 5.6 to 10.7T so Ezra rightly ascribes 5.1T in total deficits to Dubya. At the same time ND has risen since from 10.7 to 15.7T and yet he only ascribes 983B to BO's tally. Methinks there's some funny accounting going on here, not surprising since the banks have been doing that for the last decade, why should news columnists be any different.

I don't think jan companies stopped dreaming. We are doing cool things all the time, try looking up Google glasses for example.

I do think it is retarded though that we cut so much of the space program.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see the benefit of the space program for the most part. Sure, there are scientific discoveries to be found, but I think that money could be better used to fund medical programs to better improve the quality and length of life in humans.

But that's just me.
