Post a youtube song link, then maybe in a spoiler give a little backstory about when you first heard it and what you liked most about it. Don't feel you need to post only once or have one song per post either!
I first heard this song on my last day of high school. i loved the lyrics and i think it fit really well with the occasion (since I never did care to go back and see my high school or anyone i knew from there afterwards, aside from the actual graduation ceremony)
From the album Abigail 2: The Revenge. A thing to know about King Diamond's albums is that each one tells a story. This story is the return of Abigail (from his second album Abigail), and the extraction of her vengeance ofn thsoe who killed her. During this song is when she exacts most of her revenge, plus I just kind of like the overall sound to it.
And gonna close this off with more Ramones. Like the quick, abrupt pace of the song, especially when they speed it up during live performances. Too bad 3/4 the original band is dead.
IMO this is just one of the most underrated songs of all time. It's made of pure epic, and it's got a piano hook that would make Billy Joel and Elton John mad jelly. I don't know how it isn't near the top of some "greatest songs" lists.
I'm stuck in the library all day, so I'll post more up as they come up on my spotify.
damn how i used to love this guy when he was slim shady... now i won't be sourprise if he has a song with justin gayber, lil fking wayne rhiana .. and bs -.-
just remember this one please :
just another song who made my childhood a better time and place
When you get past Yellowcard's hits like Ocean Avenue, and Way Away (which are both very good, don't get me wrong) they actually have some deeply profound shit.
