Application load error 5:0000065434

A box with "Application load error 5:0000065434" comes up when I try to run Monkey Island II: Special Edition.

I've tried:
Restart.
Reinstall (Several times)
Drivers update.

I've googled it to death, have fun.

What OS are you trying to run this on?

Wasn't that a DOS game?

Yeah, the original one was a DOS game - the Special Edition versions are remakes of 1&2 with redone graphics, voice acting, a new interface, etc.

I was running it on Windows 7 in compatibility mode for XP SP3, I finally got it to work though.

Yeah, I haven't tried any of my DOS games on 7 yet, but it was a bitch in XP.

I used something called scummvm to play Full Throttle a while back and it worked pretty good.

Haha, yeah, I yews ScummVM all the time for old games. But the Special Edition Monkey Island games are remakes - not DOS games
