My father has been dead for over two decades. (I was thirteen.)
Life (and death) happens...better be ready for it.

That sucks man. And for Magyk. Losing a parent as a kid has got to be one of the worst things to go through when you are young short of terminal illness.

Gonna add that when you lose someone close to you, you kind of lose a piece of yourself with them. After all, if you're close, you're going to do stuff with them. And if you did stuff with them, you can't do that no more after they die. You can do it with others, but it's just not the same.
