JKA Siege Anniversary Server

In honor of the anniversary of JKA's release, a friend of mine is hosting a server for today with a beta of a patch to Hoth planned for yews on Tempest, along with a variety of my other custom content. The server name is "Happy Birthday reborn boss Academy!", and it should appear right under Impulse. It's small, only 12 slots (the normal name is Sominous Enrichment Center, not often seen.) However, if you want to see what amounts to a fresh coat of paint on the same old Hoth/Desert/Korriban you've been playing for (for some of us) 6 years, by all means stop by and check the modified content out.

Features intended for Tempest:
  • Music varies by objective and which team wins the round, on all 3 maps
  • There's a new lift call button in the bunker across from the droid room
  • The destroyable lock in the Infirmary is tech-healable
  • Various lames and objective skips are fixed

Other features:
  • Additional Ammo/Shield/Health chargers, and tweaks to existing ones
  • Item pickups (kept somewhat conservative; no rocket launchers/demps/ruptors/portable shields, etc, though those are also possible)
  • Highly experimental: an attempt at a 'unique' pickup, a concussion rifle that, when it's working properly, only 1 person can have at once (it doesn't respawn until the current holder dies); as a further experiment, the holder currently regenerates conc ammo, detpacks, health, and a holdable item, all of which could be changed entirely. A message indicating which team has possession is printed whenever it's picked up, the holder is visible on radar and has thier force regen nerfed, and it's not possible to carry codes at the same time as the unique conc rifle.

i went on to check it out but i couldnt get on attacking team to advance obj....

You sure you had the right server? It usually runs pretty smooth, and the # bots is intentionally set odd to ensure a human player can join either team... haven't noticed anyone on that I recognized, either.

There was 1 human player on at the time also, so I guess thats why I couldnt join imps.
